Teacher Course Material
A. All teacher course materials in the Academy course cannot be shared.
B. No recordings of teacher course materials are allowed.
C. Some materials are part of professional understandings of Oriental Medicine such as the meridian theory.
D. 4 hours of teacher course review will be provided and a teacher candidate is able to access for 4 weeks after it ended. But the materials will be deleted after 4 weeks later.
Teacher Exam Requirement
A. All teacher candidates must record the entire demonstrations of each level in curriculum. And submit them to Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA via online video service such as Youtube or Vimeo.
For example, a teacher candidate of “LEVEL 1” must record the entire demonstrations from Fang Song, Elixir Field, Stepping, Central Equilibrium Practice, Primary Reeling Silk and Primary Single Explosive Power via a Youtube’s ‘Unlisted’ link.
B. There are 3 parts of the teacher exam that are a written exam, an oral explanation of Taijiquan theory and a physical demonstration. The written exam can be submitted electronically. However, the oral explanation of Taijiquan theory and the physical demonstration will be executed on a designated date and time at Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA at Los Feliz in Los Angeles.
C. A failure to fulfill these 3 parts of the teacher exam requirement will not endorse a teacher certification of Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA. No exceptions.
Teacher Course & Exam Fee
A. An amount of $250 should be paid if a teacher candidate is a first-time applicant.
B. Any amount of donation is appreciated if a previous and incumbent certified teacher wants to refresh the teacher course.
Liability Waiver
A. I fully understand that Tai Chi (Taijiquan) includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress, re-education and relief of muscular tension and spinal misalignments.
B. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated.
C. Tai Chi is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment.
D. Tai Chi is a not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions such as a brain tumor.
E. I affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to practice Tai Chi and take this teacher course and examination.
F. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter may have against the teaching staff of Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA.
Pledge of Teacher
As the teacher candidate of Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA, I hereby acknowledge and fully understand that upon graduation from the Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA Teacher Course, I am making a binding pledge to support and aid in the growth of a CBTA USA community as a teacher. This pledge includes, but is not limited to, actively promoting the CBTA USA community, facilitating events and workshops, and providing teaching services as required by the academy. I understand that this pledge is a binding commitment, and I hereby agree to fulfill it to the best of my abilities.
$250 to a first-time applicant for a teacher exam
Any amount of donation is appreciated to previous and existing certified teachers.
