He is the founder and principal of Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA in Los Angeles, where he imparts the authentic teachings of Master Chen Bing as passed down in Chenjiagou.
In recognition of his profound understanding and mastery of Chen Family Taijiquan, Master Baek was appointed the 'Chenjiagou Intangible Culture Chen Family Taijiquan Excellent Successor' (陈家沟非物质文化陈氏太极拳优秀传承人) by Chen Village Committee and China Chen Village Taijiquan Association on October 5, 2014. This prestigious title is the highest honor awarded by Chenjiagou and demonstrates Master Baek's authenticity as a true inheritor of Chen Family Taijiquan. There are only 18 'Intangible Culture' successors appointed by Chen Village Committee and China Chen Village Taijiquan Association worldwide, with Master Baek being the only one in North America (North America-1, South America-1, Asia-15, Europe-1).
In May of 2015, Master Bosco Baek achieved a significant milestone in his career as a Tai Chi teacher. He was the first-ever professional Tai Chi teacher to conduct a seminar at the FBI Los Angeles headquarters, where he shared his expertise in the ancient martial art with agents and staff members. This achievement is a testament to Master Baek's exceptional skills and reputation as a Tai Chi teacher, and highlights the growing recognition of Tai Chi as a valuable practice for both physical and mental health, as well as for self-defense and law enforcement purposes. In recognition of his groundbreaking seminar, Master Baek received a plaque of appreciation from the FBI, which serves as a testament to his expertise, dedication, and contribution to the field of Tai Chi. His achievements continue to inspire and motivate Tai Chi practitioners and enthusiasts worldwide, as they strive to unlock the full potential of this ancient and dynamic martial art.
In 2016, Master Bosco Baek was honored with a Certificate of Recognition by the California State Assembly at the 5th Kung Fu Tai Chi Day for his dedicated efforts to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of martial arts. This prestigious award speaks to Master Baek's steadfast commitment and significant contributions to the martial arts community in California and beyond. In October 2016, Master Bosco Baek was recognized for his expertise in Taijiquan and awarded the title of 'Excellent Coach' (优秀教练) by Chen Bing Taiji Academy Chenjiagou Headquarters. In 1999, he began studying Chen Family Taijiquan under Master Myung-Won Seo (徐明源), who is the first foreign disciple of Grand Master Chen Xiaoxing.
