[About Public Membership]
Starting in April 2024, our Public Tai Chi Program in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, is getting an exciting update. Given the financial realities of running high-quality Tai Chi classes and the extraordinary dedication of our volunteer teachers after offering 240 hours of free classes since 2023, we're rolling out a new pricing model. This model is designed with our community's financial considerations in mind, ensuring our classes remain accessible and sustainable.

These programs will rotate every 10 weeks, according to a predetermined annual schedule, ensuring a structured yet flexible learning journey. While there are no prerequisites for joining any of the programs, starting with the lower-numbered series is highly recommended for newcomers before attempting more advanced levels.
Please note that the release of Tai Chi 99: Online Orientation has been delayed due to the extensive time required for high-quality recording and editing. This online series is an essential foundation for those new to Tai Chi, providing an accessible entry point into the practice.

- Enjoy a 1-week unlimited trial of our public Tai Chi classes for just $20. This offer allows newcomers to explore various classes and experience the essence of Tai Chi.
[Membership Options]
- Annual Membership: Secure a year-long access to Tai Chi classes with a one-time payment of $60. This affordable plan breaks down to just $5 per month, ensuring continued growth and practice in Tai Chi. Note: Annual memberships auto-renew unless canceled.
- 5-Class Package: For $75, members can purchase a package of five classes, costing $15 per class. This package offers flexibility and value, ideal for those with specific scheduling needs or who wish to focus on targeted learning.

01. Chen Village Tai Chi T-Shirt: All members receive a unique Tai Chi T-shirt, symbolizing their connection to the Chen Village Tai Chi community.

02. Priority Access to Seminars: Members get early invitations and discounts to seminars and events, fostering deeper community engagement and learning opportunities.
03. Eligibility for Academy Programs: Completing 50 hours of public classes qualifies members to apply for our authentic Academy Program, paving the way for deeper Tai Chi mastery.

- A single Tai Chi class is available at $25 for those preferring a no-commitment option to experience Tai Chi.

- The $25 rate applies per class for non-members.
- Annual members need to buy 5-class bundles at $75 each time ($15/class) after paying the $60 yearly membership fee. This approach ensures affordability and encourages regular practice.
- To ensure high-quality instruction and individualized attention, we'll cap public membership enrollments. This limit helps us maintain a supportive and effective learning environment. We'll pause new enrollments once we reach capacity, reopening as spaces become available.
- Incremental Learning: Our Tai Chi curriculum is designed to enhance skills progressively. Maintaining regular attendance is crucial for ongoing improvement.
- Whether you choose the full engagement of a Public Membership or the flexibility of Non-membership, our program warmly welcomes everyone into the enriching world of Tai Chi, inspired by the profound principles of Chen Village.

Note: Due to our instructors' current schedules, Monday and Saturday morning sessions will be temporarily on hold. Rest assured, we plan to reintroduce these classes soon, aiming to accommodate a broader schedule in the near future.
This revamped program reflects our commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching Tai Chi community for everyone, aligned with the profound principles of Chen Village. Whether you're a first-timer curious about Tai Chi or a seasoned practitioner looking to deepen your practice, we've designed our program to support your journey towards health, balance, and wellness while ensuring the sustainability of high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
No Walk-in Policy: For reasons of liability, we cannot accept walk-ins. It's vital to book your Tai Chi classes in advance. Our utmost priority is ensuring the safety and comfort of all our participants, so we kindly ask for your understanding in not accommodating unplanned arrivals.
Progressive Learning: Our modules are designed in a 10-week format, evolving each week. If you decide to join around the 3rd or 4th week, there's no cause for concern! Our dedicated instructors will provide the necessary guidance to help you catch up and keep pace with the rest of the class.
Attire Recommendation: Please wear clothing that allows you to move freely and feels comfortable.
Footwear Instructions: Classes require participants to be in socks, so please remove your outdoor shoes. If, for health reasons, you need to wear shoes, indoor footwear like diabetic shoes is permitted. Kindly store outdoor shoes beneath the benches. Please note, our cubbies are designated specifically for personal items other than shoes.
Value of Punctuality: Timeliness is something we greatly respect. If you arrive while another class is concluding, we'd appreciate a noiseless entry.

Starting from October 2023, the Orientation will be available online for added accessibility.
