Master Chen Bing (陳炳), distinguished as the "Big Dragon" (大龍), is a pivotal 20th generation representative of the illustrious Chen family and serves as the 12th generation direct lineage leader of Chen Family Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan). As a direct descendant of the Taijiquan creator, Chen Wangting (陳王廷), he was recognized by the Chen Village Committee in 2006 as the foremost "Heavenly King" amongst the esteemed "Chen Village Eight Heavenly Kings" (陈家沟八大天王).
Hailing from Chenjiagou (陳家溝) in Henan Province, China, the acknowledged cradle of Taijiquan, Chen Bing was born in March 1971. He is the sole progeny of Chen Yonghe (陳永和), the elder sibling of Grand Masters Chen Xiaowang and Chen Xiaoxing. At a tender age of six, his initial training in Chen Taijiquan was under the tutelage of his renowned uncle, Chen Xiaowang. Significantly, Master Chen Bing stands as the senior-most member of the 20th generation Chen Family "Seven Dragons," a lineage that also encompasses figures like Chen Jun, Chen Yingjun, Chen Ziqiang, Chen Zijun, Chen Pengfei, and Chen Shiwu.
Esteemed globally, Chen Bing has been bestowed the title "Taiji Almighty" (太極全能), a recognition of his manifold awards. He is revered as a "Chinese Intangible Cultural Asset of Taijiquan." A distinguished alumnus of the Shanghai University of Sports, and having served as the vice-mayor of Chen Village, he is the visionary founder and president of the Chen Bing Taiji Academy located in Chenjiagou, Henan Province, China.
Operating his principal academy in Chenjiagou, Master Chen Bing continues to mentor students personally. Emulating his esteemed uncle, Grand Master Chen Xiaowang, he has been unwavering in his commitment to conducting seminars across Europe, North America, and Asia, championing the authentic essence of the Chen family's venerable Taijiquan tradition.
More than his remarkable prowess and unmatched skill, it is Master Chen Bing's humility, amiable demeanor, clarity in instruction, and gentle nature that establishes him as one of the Chen family's most esteemed, approachable, forward-thinking, and influential ambassadors. Internationally sought-after by Taiji aficionados, he is undeniably amongst the defining Taiji maestros of the contemporary era.
Master Chen Bing is acknowledged as the inaugural king among the "Chen Village Eight Heavenly Kings" (陈家沟八大天王), succeeding the revered "Chen Village Four Diamonds" (陈家沟四大金刚) - Grand Masters Chen Xiaowang, Wang Xian, Zhu Tiancai, and Chen Zhenglei.
